This model did well in our lab tests on both carpeted and hard floors, collecting 91.3% combined of debris in serpentine pathways. However it's not as efficient at edge and corner cleaning as more expensive models--its side sensors keep the D4 approximately 1.5 inches away from walls. It also lacks the side-sweeping brush that is found on all, if not the cheapest robotic cleaners. Additionally, its elevated turret makes it difficult to fit under low-clearance furniture.
